New year, new start seems to be ringing true in 2019 with wrestling talent from various promotions heading into the new year announcing that they're now free agents. With All Elite Wrestling starting up, ROH getting more aggressive signing talent and the WWE always looking for the next big star it could be a crazy year for talent signings. However, Drake Maverick may have just spoiled two new signings for WWE. In case you didn't know... One of the companies that seems to have lost the most wrestlers for 2019 seems to be Impact Wrestling with two of its former X-Division Champions taking to Twitter to announce that they're free agents, the first being DJZ.

It's less of a case of New Year, New Start and more New Year, New Finishing Move for WWE Superstar Sonya Deville on SmackDown Live, when she debuted a new devastating manoeuvre to put away Naomi. However, the move itself has left a lot of people watching very confused, and perhaps for good reason. In case you didn't know... On SmackDown Live, the two former Absolution stable-mates Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose got one over on Naomi when Mandy provided a distraction at ringside to allow Sonya to hit Naomi with the following move and pick up the win.

Dolph Ziggler recently lost a cage match on Monday Night Raw against his former tag-team partner Drew McIntyre in quite an emphatic way. 'The Scottish Psychopath' decimated Ziggler with two Claymore Kicks before giving 'The Showoff' a post-match beatdown. It sure seemed like Ziggler was being written off the show, and now more details possibly suggest that Ziggler is on his way out of the WWE.

However, Gulak and Tozawa have battled many times before and their familiarity was clear early in the contest as they grappled and countered each other with respective technical prowess. The rivals battled to an early stalemate, but remained focused on each other with Gulak taking a more aggressive approach, drawing ire from the official.
